I’ve been learning Dutch for years, off and on. But I don’t have much chance (except when I eavesdrop on tourists) to hear it spoken. Here’s my chance!

…it’s a current affairs show from Belgium. This is really great for me as it is in Vlaams/Flemish which is enough like Dutch for me to understand, but I’ll get to practice a different accent and some different words. I did once successfully order a sandwich in a train station in Antwerp so I have a head start!

Hi all! It took a little prodding, but I’m here!

I am a contributing editor at School Library Journal. I work on the reference review and regular book reviews, and help produce the Curriculum Connections enewsletter.

I’m originally from here: (Kings Mountain, Sligo, Ireland)

but now I live somewhere completely different (Jackson Heights, NY)

I used to work at a public library, then an academic one, and I’ve been at SLJ for two years.
